Harry Potter

Lets face it, Hogwarts is the place where we all want to go. We were all disappointed when we didn't get the letter on our 11th birthday, but all is not lost. Even though there are no more books or films on the way, the previous ones are always there to be watched and read. We all want to choose our wand and learn magic spells. I'm sure we'd all want to fight against Voldemort, love him or hate him, he makes quite a cool bad-guy. How did Rowling come up with such a clever plot? It's so weird and wonderful. Radcliffe said in an interview that in order to fully understand the plot, the viewers and readers have to be quite educated. A lot happens in the plot which requires brain power to work out, because the films interlink. I'm sure anyone who's a fan of Harry Potter will understand what I mean.

Many characters who we love, die. Dumbledore, Sirius, Hedwig, one of the Weasley twins (I can never remember which) and many more. We become attached to the characters overtime, especially since it all happens over such a long period. I remember the first film coming out when I was about 10, the last film when I was around 18. I've grown up with the characters and the plot. We're all part of the Harry Potter generation. Hopefully, the films and books will continue to be read and watched era after era. I'm sure they will, since Harry Potter has had an affect all over the world.

Although there's a happy ending, Ron and Hermione getting married along with Ginny and Harry, we know that there are problems along the way. As Voldemort gets stronger, the going gets tougher. I know I had a mini celebration when he died in the last film because it'd taken the wizarding world so long to win. The characters develop right in-front of your eyes. Take Neville, who's a wimpy kid right up until the last film. Then he turns into a hero, fighting Voldemort in his Topman cardigan. What I'm trying to say is that the whole series can teach us things about our own lives. Take Harry, he has a tough time and loses his parents, but he always stays strong and wins in the end. Ron and Hermione represent true love, even though they have a tough time of getting there. Voldemort represents pure evil, and Rowling warns us that there are people in the world who want to corrupt lives. It just goes to show that even if the tale is fiction, there are still messages to be learnt.

J.K Rowling is a genius. I wish that I'd come up with the idea, because now I'd be rolling in money.
